TOUR INFO AND ITINERARY

DAY 1

İSTANBUL TO TRABZON

We will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel and transfer you to the airport. By a short flight, you will be transferred to Trabzon. After reaching Trabzon airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. We will pick you up again from the hotel at about 12.00 pm and drive you to Akçaabat for lunch which is famous for its meatballs. After lunch, transfer to Hagia Sophia Museum and Ataturk’s villa. Then we will depart for Sera Lake. After arriving at the lake which is a natural wonder, we will reach a local restaurant with a menu of the dishes peculiar to this region. Around 3 pm. we leave the area. You will be given free time and may prefer walking around the bazaar area of the villager women or inside the biggest shopping mall of the city called Forum as you wish. You can do some local shopping. At the end of the tour, transfer to the hotel and overnight in Trabzon. 

DAY 2

BLACK SEA REGION DISCOVERY

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel continue to Sumela Monastery.

It is 47 km far away from Trabzon and it takes about 45 minutes to go there. Sumela Monastery has an elevation of 1150m and is located in the Altındere Village of the Maçka region of Trabzon. The monastery which was founded on the step surface of the mount having the view of Altındere Valley is called ‘Mother Mary’ by the local people. This structure which is 300m high from the bottom of the valley has sustained the tradition of the monasteries to be founded outside the city center, in the forests, inside the caves, and on river banks.

Having finished our tour at Sumela Monastery, we will depart for Karaca Cave which will be our second sightseeing point.  After an hour journey, around 13.00 pm. we will reach Karaca Cave. This cave is 96 km far away from Trabzon and 72 km from Maçka. It has an elevatıon of 1550m and is located in the Torul region of Gümüşhane. You can find many wonders of natüre inside the cave such as stalactites and stalagmites, columns, walls having org figures, travertines, and cave plants. After lunch and sightseeing, around 15.30pm. we will depart for Hamsiköy which will be our last sightseeing stop. Followıng the old Iranian Road or the Silk Road, we will arrive in the village around 16.30pm after we taste the rice pudding peculiar to this village.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel and overnight in Trabzon.

DAY 3

BLACK SEA REGION DISCOVERY

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and continue to Ayder. It is one of the lovely highlands of the Black Sea which is located in the Çamlıhemşin region of Rize, covered with forests, and has an elevation of 1350m. It is 185 km far away from Trabzon and it takes about 2,5 hours to go there. We will arrive at the sightseeing place at about 11.30 am. Ayder seems to be a paradise whose ridge relies on the Kaçkar Mountains. The waterfall Gelintülü, the area Galerdüzü and the hot water spring of Ayder make their visitors experience an unforgettable day. The honey that is produced owing to the flowers of Kaçkar’s flora, each of which is endemic, can be found in this highland.

Here, we have just given you a general sketch of the region but the details of the area will be given to you by our professional local guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. Once we arrive at the sightseeing place, we will give two hours of free time. After that, we will have our lunch in one of the finest restaurants in the highland. You may prefer trout fish or local foods as you wish. Then our guests who wish to walk can do some sightseeing or trekking in nature. At around 14.00 pm. we will take our seats on our bus and leave the highland. Off we go to the Fırtına River and the historical arch bridges on it. Around 16.30pm we will reach Rize where is our second sightseeing point and we will make a little city tour. Then we go up to the botanic park, one of the touristic places of Rize which is the capital of tea plantations in Turkey.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel and overnight in Uzungöl.
DAY 4

FINAL DISCOVERIES AND BACK TO İSTANBUL

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then we will pick you up from the hotel and continue to Uzungöl which has an elevation of 1090m. outperforming the Alps with its steep slopes and glorious forest cover. Uzungöl, which means "long lake" is Turkey's most beautiful lake. A little slice of Switzerland in Turkey's Black Sea region, Uzungol's picturesque view features a lakeside mosque and high green mountains on all sides. There are numerous easy hiking trails in the surrounding hills. Here you may be lucky to spot a Eurasian lynx, roe deer, badger, or one of many various species of birds of prey. The houses of the village called Şerah, which are harmonious with the environment, complete the beauty of nature.

At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to Trabzon Airport. A short evening flight to Istanbul and after arriving at İstanbul, you will be transferred to your hotel in Istanbul.
